Horseback riding in the Jungle
After you are picked up at your hotel you will be driven to the farm which is located 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo. Once at the farm you will receive instructions on how to control your horse. Following the instructions you will go to the ramp, where depending on your experience, the guide will assign the best horse for your ability. In the ramp it is very easy to mount your horse and then you will have little time to practice with your horse before starting the tour.
Once ready, you will ride on roads, jungle trails, farms, across a river and approach a 44 meter waterfall in Volio.
From there you will make the final approach on foot to enjoy pristine waters and climb to the top of the waterfall where you can enjoy the beautiful natural jacuzzis!
After visiting the waterfall, you will again go by horse back for a short while to reach the farm, where the bus will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
Horseback riding on the beach:
After picking you up at your hotel, you join the rest of your group in the office, from where you will depart towards the stables in Margarita Road. There you will meet Raul, our experienced guide and great lover of horses. It is important to communicate your ability with Raul so he can give you a horse for your level. The passion he feels for these animals gives us a great opportunity to answer all your concerns about those great friends. Do not hesitate to ask any questions.
Once assigned to a horse, you are ready to ride towards Punta Uva to enjoy a beautiful stroll along the shores of the Caribbean Sea to reach the estuaries of Punta Uva river. Afterwards, we will begin our return along the paths of the wetland, an ideal time to learn about the different species of animals and plants you will spot on your path.
